We created a quiet calm space for our Quinary exhibition at the London show. We had some wonderful visitors and extraordinary comments about the work. All new work this show now moves on to Harrogate. Our next challenge awaits us – we have work to make for the wonderful Coventry Cathedral in the spring of 2018. I am challenging myself with some tapestry weaving and hand stitch.

Hidden
I am part of the Quinary exhibition at the Spring Knitting and Stitching show in London. The show goes up on Weds 1st March and is open on Thursday 2nd of March at 10.00 am to the public. This exhibition is on tour and will be visiting London, Bath and Edinburgh. An exciting variety of work, this collection demonstrates the sensitivity of the group to cloth and stitch. inspiration
Inspiration is there all the time.
For everyone whose mind is not clouded over with thoughts, whether they realise it or not …
Inspiration is pervasive but not a power.
It is a peaceful thing.
It is a consolation even to plants and animals. ( Agnes Martin)
I am reading Agnes Martin Her Life and Art.

Weaving
I have begun to look at weaving as a means of stitching. Comparisons can be made whilst making. I am really enjoying learning a new skill and the contemplative nature of the weaving, much like running stitch.
